Our Website

The museum website and blog provide all the latest information on our opening times, admission prices and how to find us. There are details of other local attractions and lists of places to shop, eat, drink and sleep. Everything in fact that a visitor to the village of Bourton-on-the-Water may need. If you want to preview our collections of cars, toys, motorcycles and other motoring related memorabilia, then the website is the place to look. You will find a 5 minute video interview with our Collections Manager that provides a good overview of the museum contents. The Download pages of the website host extensive background research material that delves into a range of motoring related issues covering the Environmental, Social and Technological implications of a century of motoring and looks ahead to how motoring in the 21st century may evolve. And last but certainly not least, the Cotswold Motoring Museum is home to BRUM; an evergreen TV favourite with children of all ages.

    • Thanks for your comment on our blog. We have one car that can claim to be a star of the (small) silver screen and that is BRUM: a favourite on children’s TV from 1991 until 2002. There have been repeats later in the 2000s. Unfortunately, I do not believe Chitty Chitty Bang Bang has ever been on display at the Bourton museum. I believe though that it can be seen at the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu but it would be worth checking before making the trip.
